Just Another Minute

My little world – just enjoying the ride

When you are prompted do you respond?

Have you ever had a time in your life when you feel like God is prompting you to do something?  To write something?  To communicate something?  To pass along some words of encouragement?  To just call and be available?  To help someone?  Or to put a question out there?  To do that without question?

Have you ever had a time when you responded to that prompt?

If so, have you ever had a time when the person you reached out to  asked you not to do that again?  No explanation, just please don’t do that again.

So the question of the day for me is this – do you follow God’s prompting, or do you follow the direction of the person who sent that message to you?  Easier said than done…next time will I hesitate when I feel prompted, or following what I am being told by my friend?

I really need some input here.

  2. sorry i’m just now getting over here. been drowning in my own life “stuff” lately…

this is such a good question you’re posing. so challenging. and while this provides no help whatsoever, i think it’s one of those things that’s gonna totally depend on the situation. i think obedience to God can happen in conjunction with respect for others most of the time. in your ambiguous extreme example, i think obedience to God must always be our highest priority. easier said than done, i know…
